Lucas & Nicole’s Engagement Shoot
Before their wedding day, Lucas and Nicole were feeling a little nervous about being in front of the camera — but this golden-hour engagement shoot at Back Beach in New Plymouth changed everything. As a New Zealand wedding photographer, I always recommend a pre-wedding session to help couples relax, and this one couldn’t have gone better.
The black sand, dramatic cliffs, and soft evening light gave us the perfect setting to ease into things. What started with a few shy smiles quickly turned into genuine laughter, dancing, and all the beautiful, candid moments that come from just being in love. These two absolutely adore each other, and it was such a joy to capture their connection in such a natural way.
