Opa!!! A beautiful love affair between Greece and South Africa. Put the 2 together and you’ve got a wedding no-one will ever forget!
I was stoked when Mike and Madele asked me to travel to Greece to capture their special day. The day after I said yes I found out I was pregnant. The day I flew I was 20 weeks pregnant with my first son and I flew solo halfway across the world for this epic weekend. Literally nothing could keep me back! And I’m so glad nothing did. The only thing I would’ve wanted was some Ouzo but I managed to bring some back and have it a few months later. ;-)
This was a 3 day feast which ended at 22h00 at night in the water. The great thing about Greece in summer is the sun sets very late and the bonus is the couple wanted to end with a trash the dress. So we got to have it all! I’ve got so much to say about this wedding but I’ll let the photos speak for itself. A few highlights definitely is the beautiful church, when the new parents gave the new son or daughter in law a piece of jewellery, the incredible food, the Zorba (greek dance) etc etc
This is just a tiny sneak peek into the day but you definitely get all the feels.
