Joshua & Eden: A Wedding with a Little Moo-ment of Its Own
Some wedding stories are a little different from the rest, and Joshua and Eden's intimate Raglan elopement was certainly one to remember!
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows on a hill overlooking Raglan's beautiful coastline, with sweeping ocean views, beaches and dramatic cliffs as their backdrop. It was a windy day, but absolutely beautiful — and with a few unexpected guests in the paddock, there was never going to be a dull moment!
A wedding with a Cowlebrant
Joshua is a big Jeremy Clarkson and Clarkson's Farm fan, so the cows roaming the paddock were an exciting bonus. But Joshua has a special talent for calling cows over, and they actually come to him!
During the vows, as the celebrant stepped aside, one particularly enthusiastic cow decided to step in. Naturally, we had to call her the Cowlebrant!
It's moments like these that make every wedding unique. You can plan the day, but you can't plan the memories that end up being everyone's favourite stories.
After their intimate ceremony, we made the most of the incredible coastal scenery for Joshua and Eden's couple portraits. Between the wind, the views and the moments they shared together, it was the perfect setting to capture their newlywed story.
The day ended with a special dinner, surrounded by the people closest to them.
And then came the announcement…
Three weeks later, Joshua and Eden held their engagement party — which was actually an announcement! I also had the privilege of creating the video they used to share their exciting news, and I'm including a few photographs from the celebration here too.
Joshua and Eden, thank you for letting me capture such a personal, beautiful and wonderfully memorable chapter of your lives. I hope these photographs always bring back the feeling of that day — and, of course, a little moo-ment of magic!
