Chris and Ella’s day at Narrows Landing was calm, organised, romantic and full of excitement. After a week of worrying weather forecasts, the wedding day arrived perfectly overcast - soft, flattering light that later opened up into the most incredible sunset.

As a NZ wedding photographer, days like this remind me why I love capturing love stories. These two were so in tune, so warm, and so ready to celebrate their next chapter with their loved ones.

The Moments That Made Their Day Special

Ella, a celebrant herself, stepped effortlessly into the role of bride. She was radiant, relaxed, and beautifully present. Chris got ready in the venue’s iconic games room, a space they later returned to for some creative portraits after Ella’s outfit change.

Their ceremony was heartfelt, their speeches sincere, and when the party started… it started properly. Every vendor brought their absolute best, and together we created a day full of emotion, fun, and golden light.

A Sunset to Remember

Just when the light started to fade, the sky opened up into an epic golden sunset - the kind that wraps a wedding day in magic. A sunset that kept the town talking for days afterwards. It was the perfect ending to a celebration that already felt so full and so genuine.
